We have been so busy building the church that we haven't taken the time since May to give an update. Glory to God! Construction is done, we are mostly moved in, and are now having services in the new building.
We were very blessed to have a visit from Saint InnocentsAcademy from Kodiak Alaska. The academy stayed several days at our church and contributed a huge amount of labor to our project. They completed the soffet and facia, cleaned and prepped the floors for staining, stained, varnished, and installed hundreds of feet of woodwork, and cleaned up a gigantic cosntruction pile outside the building.

Our Pilgrimage to San Francisco
By Justin Miller
“I was glad when they said unto me, let us go to the House of the Lord…” Psalm 122:1
These words reflect what happened with me and my family over the last week. Several weeks ago, my good friend and Kum, Steve Milak, whom many of you know, emailed me with the intention to invite himself to come to stay with us for a few days and make a pilgrimage to San Francisco to pray and ask the intercessions of St. Vladika John for the safe and healthy delivery of his second child which is due very soon. I was thrilled about this as Anne and I have not found time enough to make the trip in the 6 months or so since we’ve been but an hour’s drive to this holy place.

From Father Alexis
On Saturday, May 26, we had a very productive work day followed by Great Vespers in the new church.
Scott Daron wired up most of the lighting circuits, the breaker boxes have been wired and we are ready for the inspection needed to get our permament electrical hook-up.
Melanie Rentsch and Hannah Miller stained and varnished all of our windows.
Eleana Koen helped get the nave ready for vespers and salvaged a large amount of bricks from the scrap pile (with some help from Lucy Miller.)
