FOUNDER OF ORPHANAGE TO SPEAK AT HOLY TRANSFIGURATION

On Friday, November 3, at 6PM, Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church will be hosting Mother Inez, the founder of the Hagar Raphael Orthodox Orphanage in Guatemala City, Guatemala. The program will conclude with a fellowship dinner and a free will offering will be collected for the orphanage.

The orphanage is run by four Orthodox nuns. When they decided to start a convent in Guatemala, little did they know that God had greater plans then they could have imagined!

Our goals are to complete the sheeting of the roof and install the 30# felt this [past create] Saturday, October 14 and on the following Saturday (this day) install the blue metal roof.

In the fear of god and with faith and love draw near:

After the clergy have received communion and the curtain has been opened, the priest brings the chalice out to the people and chants this invitation. This call to communion expresses our spiritual orientation as we approach the great mystery of having a true personal relationship with God.
