Suggestions

Suggestions are often best discussed in person. Nonetheless, it seems practical to have a place on the site for visitors to quickly add their ideas and requests. Adding comments to this post would be the most appropriate place, on site, to do so.

Evening Service

Posted Sunday, December 25th, 2005 by Brett Robertson

Another special service for the Nativity. Again, I didn't catch the name of it. Service is at 6pm (no morning service).

I want to apologize for not catching the name of the service. There are a series of liturgies specific to this season. Seems I remember from last year that the services are long (if put end to end); and so they are split up over several days. But this description doesn't do justice to them.

Nativity Proclamation

The human soul feels deeply the need to be loved. The widespread sense that life has no meaning, which plagues in particular our young people, is to be blamed on the absence of love. Our fellow human beings are for the most part trapped within their individual pursuits and seek to fill the emptiness caused by the lack of love with the acquisition of material goods, carnal pleasures and fame. However, the soul is only satisfied with personal recognition and love, and not these other things.

Nativity Feast

Posted Saturday, December 24th, 2005 by Brett Robertson

Saturday evening: We will have service at 5:30 (the regular time). But afterward, there will be a feast. Fasting is over! You can bring a dish … no limitations on the recipe (meat, cheese, oil, etc. are all allowed). The feast is in celebration of "both Christmas Eve and Christmas day" (according to Nina). There will be no Sunday morning service. There will be a service Sunday evening (location and time yet to be announced).
